How to Setup Custom Domain for Home Page?¶
This tutorial will guide you how to set up your own domain to view your page of OnlineExamMaker
1. ADD A CNAME( ALIAS ) RECORD TO YOUR DOMAIN¶
What is CNAME?
A Canonical Name record (abbreviated as CNAME record) is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) used to specify that a domain name is an alias for another domain, the "canonical" domain. All information, including subdomains, IP addresses, etc., are defined by the canonical domain.

We assume your domain was registered at Godaddy for a example to demonstrate how to add a CNAME record
login to your account, and click the manage button at the right of DOMAINS menu
Find your domain in the list, and click the menu at the right side of your domain
At the DNS ZONE FILE tab menu, click the Add Record link
In the add record window
Select the record type to CNAME, set HOST to exam for example, and set the points to blank to page.onlineexammaker.com and then click Finish button
At the end, don’t forgot to click the Save changes button to save your settings.
Then your domain exams.yourdomain.com will be point to page.onlineexammaker.com
2. CONNECT HOMEPAGE WITH YOUR DOMAIN¶
Sign in to OnlineExamMaker dashboard, hover on "More", then click "Page info" to go to the homepage info page.
Then fill your domain to the Custom Domain field, and click "Check the domain" button to bind your domain. After your custom domain is binded successfully, when you navigate to your domain next time, you will see your homepage of OnlineExamMaker.
