Shenzhen Futian BASIS Bilingual School is the first bilingual school in China under the BASIS Group. Its curriculum system combines the BASIS curriculum system with the domestic compulsory education curriculum. The school officially opened in September 2020, providing Chinese students with an advanced international education environment.

Located in the core area of Futian District in Shenzhen, BASIS Bilingual School offers 1,800 seats from PreK-1 to 12th grade. The school covers an area of 26,116 square meters with a total construction area of approximately 48,000 square meters, including 80 standard classrooms, 12 functional classrooms for experiments, art, music, dance, and other subjects, as well as facilities such as a library, small theater, black box theater, sports center, and football field, all equipped with the most advanced equipment from China and abroad.

The recruitment standards for teachers at Futian BASIS are the same as those for Shekou BASIS. Most teachers are recruited by the Phoenix headquarters in the United States and sent to various campuses.

The teacher-student ratio at Futian BASIS is about 1:8. Teachers are required to have at least two years of teaching experience, and most teachers have over eight years of teaching experience. 100% of teachers have a bachelor's degree, 60-70% have a master's degree or higher, and 10% have a doctorate. From the data alone, the teaching staff at Futian BASIS is very good.

Established in September 2020, Futian BASIS only offered kindergarten classes for ages 3-5 in its first year. In 2021, it opened grades 6-9. Currently, it offers classes from ages 3 to 9, with an expected enrollment of around 1,400 students. Particularly noteworthy is that Futian BASIS does not require foreign citizenship, which is good news for many parents who do not have foreign citizenship but still pursue the quality of BASIS education.

As a bilingual school, Futian BASIS adds compulsory education courses while maintaining the integrity of the current international school curriculum. The main focus is on learning American-style AP courses, adhering to the BASIS education system, and emphasizing academics. In the 2021-2022 school year, Futian BASIS used a 12-day cycle schedule, including 15 cycles throughout the year, clearly indicating the course arrangements.

For 9th grade at Futian BASIS, in addition to some basic courses in international schools, there are also some Chinese courses. The proportion of classroom time for Chinese courses has increased, and the difficulty has also increased. Futian BASIS uses English for 75% of the day, Chinese for 15%, and bilingual time (between classes and breaks) for 10%. Overall, the course content is more abundant.
